The boss is a woman and a really nice person. Sometimes she treats us to snacks and drinks, and the company also covers lunch at work, so you don’t have to pay out of pocket. Compared with other places, it’s very generous and a good company. The shortcomings mentioned below absolutely do not mean this company is bad, but rather refer to the “rotten apple” in the company.
If you’re applying as an apprentice, watch out for someone with the surname Yu. From my very first day at work, he started trying to manipulate me psychologically, with no courtesy whatsoever. I only realized after leaving that this was a terrifying story. He might sometimes chat and joke with you, but that’s not because he wants to get to know you—it’s because he happens to be in a good mood and feels like talking to you. Oh, and the reason I’m saying this is that this industry has a seniority system, like the senior-junior system in hospitals. You must not offend the “senior” at this company—the person with the surname Yu. He looks careless and cocky, constantly exaggerates, and lectures you like a stereotypical man: you say one sentence and he argues against ten. Having to spend nearly ten hours a day with someone like this is extremely painful. If you show even a little impatience or become emotional, he won’t be courteous to you either! Using his seniority as leverage, he will mercilessly suppress you and erase your opportunities to grow. A large part of the reason this company can’t recruit apprentices is definitely this rotten apple’s fault. He drives people away and then complains, “No one wants to come here~”
You think you’re here to learn technical skills, but in reality you’re competing with your senior 😊 All kinds of manipulation and psychological pressure are used to trample you down. I don’t even know how many people he drove away before me, but he won’t tell you. If you really want to come, prepare in advance for how to deal with this rotten apple.
