A big company
A business group of Foxconn in mainland China. After my interview in early March, the department head said they would hire me. Later, I was asked to take a personality assessment and an English test. After some time, the person handling salary negotiations asked me for salary statements and year-end bonus information from my previous job to conduct a salary evaluation. Then, on March 24, we discussed a start date, possibly April 21 or early May, and I was asked to prepare. After the salary was agreed upon, the position was at grade 7, and I was told I would start on April 21 or in early May. On April 8, they also confirmed April 21 as the date and asked me to prepare for a health examination and submit documents. However, in the final hour, they said the process still required approval, and later that evening they told me that, because I had failed the assessment, they were sorry but could not hire me. From the interview until yesterday, a month had passed. If there was a problem with the process, that is a problem with your large company. In the end, all they said was, “Thank you for your cooperation.” Is this how a large company operates? Everyone should keep their eyes open.
