A big company
A business group of Foxconn in mainland China. After I finished the interview in early March, the department head said they would hire me. Later, they asked me to take a personality test and an English test. After some time, the person handling salary negotiations asked me for salary documents and the year-end bonus from my previous job in order to conduct a salary evaluation. Then, on March 24, we discussed the start date, which might be April 21 or early May, and asked me to prepare. The salary was agreed upon, and the position was a Level 7 engineer. I was supposed to start on April 21 or in early May. On April 8, they also confirmed April 21 as the date and asked me to prepare for a health examination and submit the required documents. However, in the last hour, they said the process still needed approval, and then in the evening they told me that, because I had failed the test, they were very sorry but could not hire me. From the interview until yesterday, the process lasted a month. If there was a problem with the process, that was an issue with this large company. In the end, all they said was, “Thank you for your cooperation.” Is this how a large company operates? Everyone, keep your eyes open.
