A big company

A certain business group of Foxconn in mainland China told me I would be hired after my interview in early March. Later, they asked me to take a personality test and an English test. After some time, the person handling the salary discussion asked me to provide proof of my previous salary and year-end bonus for a salary evaluation. Then, on March 24, we discussed a possible start date of April 21 or early May, and asked me to prepare. After agreeing on the salary, the position was a Level 7 engineer, and I was expected to start on April 21 or in early May. On April 8, they also confirmed April 21 as the start date and asked me to prepare for a health examination and submit the required documents. But in the final hour, they said the process still needed approval. Then, that evening, they said that because I had failed the test, they were very sorry but could not hire me. It took a month from the interview until yesterday. The problematic process is an issue with this large company, and in the end all they said was, “Thank you for your cooperation.” Is this how a large company operates? Everyone, keep your eyes open.
