Very high turnover
Many newcomers and young people
The NT$20 restaurant meal is truly the only benefit,
but you get tired of the dishes after about three months
Many PMs leave on their own before completing even one year
(I was only there for half a year; of nearly 10 PMs, only 1 was left. The pace of recruiting replacements was far too slow compared with the pace of resignations.)
Although everyone had many different reasons,
such as being bullied and ostracized, being yelled at, unreasonable workloads, and so on,
one reason that everyone consistently mentioned was that the manager’s requirements were unclear.
The manager also did not know what they wanted.
They just kept telling everyone to make something for them to see,
and then repeatedly rejected it and asked them to redo it,
saying it was not the direction they wanted.
But when asked what they actually wanted, they would simply repeat the same unclear requirements,
for example, “Increase the number of unfamiliar users substantially within a short period, but there is no marketing budget at all; prepare a proposal for me to review,” or “Our direction is ESG; submit a proposal to me.”
But the proposals were rejected endlessly.
Many colleagues took medication after working for a few months and then resigning.
