Pros

There have been quite a few negative articles recently, and I feel responsible for coming forward to share the truth: this is a company with excellent benefits and systems!

In my department, for example, we are responsible for maintaining relationships with major brands, and the bonus is at least one month's salary every quarter.

(Of course, teams vary. Some product-line managers are not as good at leading, which can make things more difficult, but a good manager will help with allocation, and with a little effort, you can definitely earn it.) The base salary is also definitely higher than the average shown on salary websites. If you are applying for the same position but the base salary is lower than this figure, or the bonus structure is different, I suggest negotiating actively. Our work is actually quite demanding; you may be called online unexpectedly in the middle of the night or during holidays, so it would be unfair to do the same work for a lower salary! Do not settle for less.

The company's WFH policy is also very flexible. Basically, you only need to go into the office once a week for a meeting. As long as you get your work done, you are not required to go in at other times.

The company's systems are also first-rate. When colleagues go out for visits or introduce new products to stores, their managers prepare detailed templates, and employees only need to modify them according to each store's characteristics. If you have just joined, your manager will also attend every meeting with you, help document the strengths and weaknesses of your communication, and carefully guide you on how to improve. It is definitely not like managers at traditional Taiwanese companies, who teach you nothing and only use psychological manipulation to tell you that you are terrible.

I have been working here for some time, and I really respect my manager! They joined when personnel matters were chaotic, but still helped me a lot and taught me many things! If you are interested, you are welcome to come for an interview.

Cons

It is definitely not as bad as described above.

However, managers really do vary. If you find that your manager does not seem familiar with the system and cannot really help you, you may have drawn the short straw. Submit an application to transfer to another team as soon as possible—it will probably be better. But if you happen to have a good manager, this is a great company where you can learn a lot and stay for a long time!
