Three interviews in total
HR / engineer / manager
The manager seemed to be from Hong Kong?
1st interview: Senior Engineer
It mainly involved questions about things you had done and casual conversation about the tools used in your work.
2nd interview: Hiring Manager
The manager explained the job responsibilities very thoroughly and clearly expected you to have researched what the role involves.
3rd interview: HR
The HR representative came across as very serious and explained the company benefits and salary in detail. The benefits were above average.
Summary:
1. The company takes candidates for the position very seriously.
2. The employees there seem to have stayed for a long time.
Company environment:
The office really is like what other comments have described: like a factory-floor worker's area, with a very open and somewhat noisy space and little privacy.
The office feels somewhat oppressive.
Interview impressions:
1. The IT processes and practices seem to be more similar to those used in mainland China, relying on relatively outdated methods (probably methods from 10 years ago).
2. Although HR was very thorough, they came across as quite forceful and difficult to communicate with.
Summary:
1. Considering future career development, because it is in the gambling industry and its IT practices are relatively traditional, it may be more difficult to transition to other industries.
(Please don't say again that other industries won't care— in reality, they do care.)
2. Regarding salary and benefits, articles from six or seven years ago said they were very good, but by current standards, and compared with the gambling industry roles I have encountered, they are not particularly high.
