Three interviews in total
HR / Engineer / Manager
The manager seemed to be from Hong Kong?
1st interview: Senior Engineer
Mostly questions about what you have done and casual conversation about the tools used in the work.
2nd interview: Hiring Manager
The manager explained the job responsibilities very carefully and seemed to expect you to have researched what the job entails.
3rd interview: HR
The HR representative seemed very thorough and explained the company's benefits and salary all at once. The benefits are above average.
Summary:
1. The company takes candidates for the position very seriously.
2. The employees there seem to have stayed for a long time.
Company environment:
The office really is like what other comments have described: like an operator's workspace, with a very open layout. It is relatively noisy and offers little privacy.
The office feels somewhat oppressive.
Interview impressions:
1. The IT processes seem more similar to those used in mainland China, relying on some relatively outdated methods (probably methods from 10 years ago).
2. Although HR was very thorough, they came across as quite domineering and difficult to communicate with.
Summary:
1. In terms of future career development, because it is in the gambling industry and its IT practices are relatively traditional, it may be more difficult to transition to other industries.
(Don't say again that other industries won't care— in reality, they do care.)
2. Regarding salary and benefits: articles from six or seven years ago said they were very good, but by current standards, and compared with the gambling industry roles I have encountered, they are not particularly high.
