Three interviews in total
HR / engineer / manager
The manager seemed to be from Hong Kong?
Interview 1: Senior Engineer
Mostly asked about things you had done and chatted about the tools used in your work.
Interview 2: Hiring Manager
The manager explained the job responsibilities very seriously and expected you to have researched what the work involved.
Interview 3: HR
The HR representative came across as very serious and explained the company benefits and salary package in detail. The benefits were above average.
Summary:
1. The company takes candidates for interview positions very seriously.
2. The employees there seemed to have stayed for a long time.
Company environment:
The office was indeed like what other reviews described: like an operator's workspace, with a very open and rather noisy layout and limited privacy.
The office felt somewhat oppressive.
Interview impressions:
1. The IT processes and practices seemed more similar to those used in mainland China, relying on relatively outdated methods (probably methods from 10 years ago).
2. Although HR was very serious, they came across as quite forceful and difficult to communicate with.
Summary:
1. Considering future career development, because the company is in the gambling industry and its IT practices are relatively traditional, it may be more difficult to move into other industries.
(Don't say that other industries won't care anymore—the reality is that they do care.)
2. Regarding salary and benefits, articles from six or seven years ago said they were very good, but based on my current assessment and experience with the gambling industry, they are not particularly high.
