Three interviews in total
HR / Engineer / Manager
The manager seemed to be from Hong Kong?
1st interview: Senior Engineer
Mostly asked about things you had worked on, with some casual conversation about the tools used in the job.
2nd interview: Hiring Manager
The manager explained the job responsibilities very carefully and seemed to expect you to have researched what the job involves.
3rd interview: HR
You could tell that the HR representative took the process very seriously, explaining the company benefits and salary all at once. The benefits are above average.
Summary:
1. The company takes candidates for the position very seriously.
2. The employees there seem to stay for a long time.
Company environment:
The office really is like what other comments have described: like a workspace for operators, with a very open layout. It is relatively noisy and offers little privacy.
The office feels somewhat oppressive.
Interview experience:
1. The IT processes and practices seem more similar to those used in mainland China, relying on some relatively outdated methods (probably methods from 10 years ago).
2. Although the HR representative was very serious, they came across as very forceful and difficult to communicate with.
Summary:
1. Considering future career prospects, because the company is in the gambling industry and its IT practices are relatively traditional, it may be more difficult to transition to other industries.
(Don't say again that other industries won't care—they really do.)
2. Regarding salary and benefits: articles from six or seven years ago said they were very good, but based on my current assessment and my experience with the gambling industry, they are not particularly high.
