Cons

At the beginning of the interview, two female HR representatives explained the company's benefits and rules. Later, when I asked about the duties of the publishing graphic designer position, they didn't know anything about it and had no idea at all. They didn't even know how to turn on the air conditioning in the interview room, so I nearly suffocated while waiting for another graphic design manager to arrive. After waiting a long time, the manager came and gave a fairly vague explanation. Later, the two HR representatives and one graphic design manager left, saying they needed to contact the assistant to see whether they could come, and asked me to wait a little longer. The interview had been scheduled several days in advance, but on the day, it felt as though no one at the company took it seriously. In the end, they informed me that the assistant would not be coming to interview me, and that was the end of it. The graphic designers at this company are employed under a responsibility-based system, with no overtime pay. There is only a NT$60 meal allowance for working through mealtimes (bento meals now cost over NT$100, so what can you eat for NT$60?). The year-end bonus is fixed at one month's salary and will not change. There are gifts or cash bonuses for the three major holidays and birthdays, but they didn't say how much. It feels like a very traditional and closed-off industry.
