Pros

Salary and benefits are fairly good for Hualien.

Basic labor insurance, National Health Insurance, 6% pension contribution, annual leave, year-end bonus, and holiday bonuses.

Salary is around NT$35,000.

The advantage is that the company’s systems are not well established, so

Cons

The boss likes to paint grand visions, is petty and opportunistic, and favors a supervisor with 30 years of service who likes to cause trouble.

(Drivers are brought back, and defective products that should be scrapped are unpackaged and then given to colleagues in the fruit market to sell individually. Otherwise, products made from soybeans such as tofu and douhua are taken out of the freezer and packaged at room temperature outside the storage area, with complete disregard for the food storage conditions.)

The company specializes in the distribution of processed foods, including rehydrated fresh produce, frozen and canned products, as well as delivery to retail channels. No one cares about or follows the work environment requirements and standards that should be observed.

Office staff, warehouse personnel, and drivers—no one is willing to make changes to improve work efficiency.

Most drivers (except for two or three) are very selfish, have poor work habits, and are uncooperative.

Warehouse personnel (most of them just coast along, drift, and often delay tasks while waiting for others to help).

The company has significant food-safety problems, allowing inventory handlers and inspection drivers to turn off the freezer power while handling goods, leave the freezer door closed improperly during the process, or even leave it wide open, with complete disregard for the temperature of the storage environment.
