Pros
Some people in the company got in through connections and are just coasting until retirement. In departments that aren't making money and can't sell their products, it's great to sit around without any pressure—if you have connections, nothing is a problem.
Cons
The company spends a lot of money supporting a bunch of incompetent people, while the products still can't be sold. Shouldn't upper management take a closer look?
