I really can't say.
Due to an abnormality in the power supply at the server room in the Ministry's Technology Building, some electrical equipment melted and produced smoke. The fire safety mechanism was activated at 5:40 a.m. today. The Taipei City Fire Department arrived at 6:10 a.m. and completed the related firefighting work at 6:15 a.m., after which the Ministry immediately began repair work.
Following the emergency restoration and backup operations, the Ministry's and its affiliated agencies' information and communications services and system websites have now resumed normal operation. Testing of their operation continues, and it has been confirmed that none of the system databases were affected. All files and student data (including learning portfolio data, the school affairs administration system, etc.) remain complete and intact, with no loss.
The Ministry will continue to monitor the operation of each system service and make necessary adjustments to improve network and information services. In addition, in accordance with relevant laws and regulations, the Ministry will conduct a comprehensive inspection of the safety of equipment and facilities related to the server room to prevent similar incidents from occurring.
113-02-22 May I ask whether the area manager of the Technology Building should come forward and take responsibility? Or are there already so few talented people at Wistron NeWeb? Are only those within small cliques or those who are good enough at flattering supervisors allowed to be called engineers by you?
