The IQ test in the interview was an online game. I scored full marks, and congratulations—you seemed to praise me highly, making me feel that the company was very nice and filling me with expectations. The hardware department head barely understood circuitry, yet claimed to be the hardware manager. After what seemed like a good discussion, I was told I would meet with HR. Instead, an even more senior manager came in, who understood neither software nor hardware design. Yet he spoke arrogantly without looking at me and said that I still could not meet HR, telling me to go home and wait for notification. After all that, it turned out the manager was too embarrassed to back down: he asked me a bunch of technical questions that he himself did not understand. He did not understand AI, X86, or hardware design.
The manager was arrogant, and the salary was not high. They seem to hope that inexperienced newcomers can join as assistants. There are only two old-timers in the unit, and the turnover appears to be somewhat high.
