Pros

🈚️

Cons

Simply put, this is a place with an extremely high turnover rate 🤷🏻‍♀️

You only realize after joining that it is a gigantic pitfall 🕳️

The smarter ones 🤏 will simply not show up after the interview

while the less savvy ones get lured in

Only after joining do they discover the following ⬇️

1. Every morning, you have to spend 10 minutes cleaning in an unbearably stuffy environment without air conditioning. You will be sweating profusely before work even starts, and can only work in an unpleasantly sticky state for the rest of the day.

2. Every three weeks, you have to take turns ordering lunch boxes for the company’s roughly 40 internal staff members. If there is a shortfall, you have to cover it yourself. Less than a month after joining, I was short almost NT$200 the first time I placed the order and could only silently absorb the loss myself. It was utterly ridiculous…….

3. Every two months, you have to take turns serving as the person on duty (there are probably more than 100 miscellaneous tasks, and each one must be completed individually and checked off ✅ one by one). That day, you must also work an additional 30 minutes under an unpaid, mandatory overtime arrangement, because you cannot leave until everyone in the company has gone home. There is no overtime pay and no compensatory leave.

None of the above is proactively disclosed during the interview. You only find out about these terrifying internal company rules 👻 on your first day of work.

On top of that, the coworkers are unfriendly. Some long-time employees deliberately isolate, ostracize, and bully newcomers out of jealousy. Worst of all 🦐, department managers simply take one-sided statements from veteran employees at face value and form preconceived impressions of you, with absolutely no objectivity or neutrality.

The work atmosphere is also extremely dull and lifeless. The company’s corporate culture is traditional and conservative—it is a typical Taiwanese company, with absolutely no flexibility and no freedom at all. I strongly urge anyone considering joining to think twice…….

And in this day and age, they are still using paper payslips and paper punch cards from 30 years ago…… There is no HR system and no email system either—absolutely unbelievable….. It can be described perfectly as “beautiful on the outside but rotten within.” It is truly a workplace ghost story.

No wonder so many people quit after one month—or even one week—as soon as they sensed something was wrong⋯⋯

Oh, and one last thing: this company has many alleged violations of the Labor Standards Act. For example, they dismiss employees without providing severance pay or certificates of involuntary separation, and someone even filed a complaint with the Labor Bureau. There are simply too many frightening incidents to write them all down. In short, everyone should be careful and steer clear 💣
