1. The supervisor likes to sow discord and create factions; regular staff members are generally the ones who get targeted.
2. Pressure from individual performance (varies from person to person; it doesn't affect people who enjoy challenges).
3. Some colleagues are relatives or well-connected, so someone will protect them when something goes wrong. Ordinary employees get worked to death and berated relentlessly.
4. The supervisor engages in psychological manipulation and verbal bullying.
5. There are many difficult customers.
6. When there aren't enough staff, the supervisor refuses to hire more people. One person has to handle the work of several departments, and the supervisor will complain about the individual's declining performance.
