Pros

Colleagues get along well and help one another...

Cons

Yesterday was my first day at work. During the interview, they told me that at the beginning, my supervisor would not demand a very fast pace. They said that after I started working, the workplace would be a relatively hot environment. I felt that I could tolerate the heat, so I agreed to the start date. During the interview, I also asked whether this job required standing or sitting. They told me it was a seated position, so I assumed that my future workplace would be the environment I saw during the interview, and I felt reassured! Yesterday, I looked at the large amount of information she gave me about things new employees should pay attention to. There was too much content! Even if I read it, it would be impossible for me to memorize every single item. They said there were no problems and asked me to sign. The actual workplace was somewhat different from the place I saw during the interview, but that was still okay. What left the deepest impression on me was one item stating that if you leave the company within three days of starting work, regardless of the reason, you will not receive any wages! I have been very confused: if company policy says that it is okay not to pay me for work done within the first three days, does that mean I can work unpaid during those three days? Another item that left a deep impression on me was that being late by up to 10 minutes results in a $50 deduction, while being late by more than 11 minutes results in a $100 deduction. Is that reasonable? When I was doing the second type of production work, a supervisor from a certain plant criticized me for moving too slowly and told me to wipe faster, while also requiring it to be clean... I had already tried my best to wipe everything! Whenever I was unsure, I tried to ask questions and learn by watching what my other colleagues taught me. Maybe I still did not reach the speed the supervisor wanted, so she felt that I was unable to do the job!

At first, they told me:

I needed to cooperate with overtime, and I said that was okay! If I was unsuitable during the one-month probationary period, they would ask me to leave and find another job.

Yesterday, the woman who interviewed me also asked:

Whether I could do this job. I said yes, but regarding overtime, there might be one or two days when I had something to do and could not work overtime. At that time, I would ask whether my husband could conveniently drive me back to my parents-in-law's home in Tucheng.

I would like to ask:

I had only just started learning on my first day, and my speed was not fast enough. My learning ability is not that strong, and I need to learn something several times before I can do it... Can the company decide that I am unsuitable and ask me to leave after just one day? Is it reasonable for them to ask me to sign a resignation document? If so, is there any way for me to recover the wages I should have received for yesterday?
