The work is fast-paced, and you’ll have opportunities to get hands-on experience with everything from personal computer peripherals to software development and project management. If you want to sharpen your skills, it’s worth giving it a try. The boss is also open about discussing profit-and-loss issues related to projects. If you’re interested in developing beyond an engineering career path, you can give it a try as well.
The salary is relatively low. Pay is determined based on educational background, but even the highest starting salary does not exceed 38K; some colleagues even earned less than 30K after officially joining. The manager has poor emotional management skills and repeatedly talks about gaining the trust of others, especially clients, yet yells at vendors over his own mistakes. Would vendors still trust him and want to continue working together under those circumstances? He is self-centered, yet asks employees not to think about themselves and to think about the company. He constantly tries to shirk responsibility while wanting to control every detail. The phrase he says most often is, “Is this my problem?”
