It’s very suitable for people who need to pick up their children, or who strongly value work-life balance. Almost every day, you can leave right on time as soon as the workday ends, and leaving on time won’t attract any strange looks, because nearly everyone leaves on time.
There are too many long-time employees at the company. Most of them avoid doing work whenever possible and pass things along whenever they can, so there’s no need to be especially proactive, and no one will thank you for your initiative. Everything is left to develop slowly and is only dealt with when something goes wrong or the deadline arrives.
Overall, I wouldn’t particularly recommend or discourage it. It completely depends on how much you care about having 100% work-life balance.
