For a small company, having to clean the toilets and chase the garbage truck is something I can accept; everyone does that.
About one-third of the company's employees are members of the boss's church, and these people spend 20–30 minutes every morning praying for the company. This is the first time I have seen someone bring their personal faith into the workplace to this extent.
The division of responsibilities is unclear, and the systems are a complete mess. Everyone keeps pushing work onto one another; if they cannot pass it off, they show their displeasure or even engage in what appears to be ostracism.
The boss is the biggest problem. Because he could not handle everything himself, he had his wife serve as the chief operating officer to manage the company. However, the COO is absent from the office every few days while supposedly managing the company, so I do not know why she was hired in the first place. She does not understand what people are saying; the same thing has to be explained again and again before she selectively takes in what she wants to hear. She is narrow-minded. After I submitted my resignation, she never gave me a friendly look again. Later, after asking other colleagues, I learned that she treats them the same way: if you do not listen to her, she gives you attitude.
