Recruitment consultant Shawn was very enthusiastic and helpful in every aspect. The conversation was also very relaxed and easygoing, without any sense of distance, which greatly reduced the pressure of the interview.
They also arranged for a senior engineer from the company to help me prepare for the technical interview. Although I’ve forgotten his name, he was also very friendly; they even prepared a question bank containing all the technical questions previously asked by the target company.
The time before the interview with the company—only two days, including the preparation mentioned in the pros—was spent revising and practicing my self-introduction, as well as researching the questions in the question bank.
I am naturally very resistant to and not good at memorizing things. Having to look up, research, revise, and memorize so much information in two days was very stressful for me. However, during the interview with the company, the questions they asked were completely unrelated to the question bank. They did not even ask a single question about Java or Spring. By the end of the interview, I felt very awkward and frustrated.
