Paychecks are issued on time; that’s about it.
It’s different from what was said during the interview: overtime cannot be claimed for pay, and you’re required to take compensatory leave instead. Typhoon days off are unpaid (you’re expected to use overtime converted into compensatory leave to calculate the payment).
If you’re thinking of joining, think it through carefully and read more reviews. There are good ones as well as bad ones, but there’s a reason the turnover rate is high. A manager in a certain division worked there for several years without retaining anyone.
An engineer in a certain division was laid off. This happened after the manager instructed them to complete all the tasks that had not been done over several years at once; only then were they notified of the layoff.
They even asked a manager from another department to deliver the news, saying that the company considered you unsuitable for the role and was letting you go. It’s hard to understand how someone deemed unsuitable could still be asked to go to a client site and carry out tasks independently.
Before notifying you of the layoff, they did not discuss whether you were unsuitable for the role and simply told you to leave. After delivering the notice, the manager disappeared completely.
All of the above was something I dreamed about. If anything sounds similar, I don’t know whether it’s merely a coincidence.
I advise everyone to read more reviews; it’s a good idea.
