1. All the basic benefits you would expect from a large company are provided, and the new building has excellent facilities.
2. The base salary is average, but the year-end bonus is high.
3. The company provides comprehensive training for new hires; after joining a team, however, it depends entirely on your luck.
4. There is an employee cafeteria.
1. You do not meet the hiring manager during the interview. After joining, you may experience a gap between the expectations of the hiring manager and those of the manager who conducted the interview.
2. It largely depends on your luck which team you are assigned to. Some managers have no willingness to train newcomers. Although the position advertised is an entry-level “assistant” role, they expect you to be immediately productive, allow no room for mistakes, and tell you that everyone else is too busy to take the time to train you or share the workload. The manager may repeatedly say, “You’ve worked before, so I shouldn’t have to teach you, right?”
3. Overtime pay is provided for only two hours. If you cannot finish your work, you can only work unpaid overtime. If you have something to attend to and cannot work overtime, your manager may imply that you do not really need the job. How often you have to work overtime really depends on the team! In very busy teams, staying at the company until 9 p.m. is very common......
4. Some managers have extremely old-fashioned and traditional views. They cannot even accept employees using their phones at their desks to reply to messages, and they mock employees who came from smaller companies for being more casual and not understanding the rules.
