Colleagues:
The colleagues are really great. Sometimes when you need to take leave to deal with something important, your colleagues will help out. Tasks handed over to a stand-in will not simply be left unattended; they are willing to handle them proactively. Here, it feels like being part of an entire team rather than fighting alone. We also cover for one another during performance evaluations. It’s really heartwarming!
Company development:
There is a lot of room for the company to grow. Although the Taiwan operation is small, the business in the United States is quite substantial, and it is clearly moving toward the international market, so the company’s perspective is not limited to the domestic market.
Your horizons will broaden significantly. You won’t be limited to Taiwan; you will develop an international perspective.
Boss:
The boss is also quite willing to invest in employees’ working environment. Overall, the office is very comfortable, allowing people to work well in a pleasant physical and mental environment.
Compensation and benefits:
Then there is the compensation. Performance really speaks for itself. Both objective KPI considerations and your attitude when interacting with supervisors and clients will be taken into account. Although the work schedule is fairly flexible, you need to pay attention to your attitude and performance at the company.
Usually, if you stay for a long time, your compensation will increase with your tenure. It is a company with good prospects.
Work arrangements:
The work is also fairly flexible. I previously worked in traditional manufacturing, where there was truly no flexibility at all—your time was almost entirely tied to work. Here, as long as you can properly optimize your work progress and give a satisfactory account of the results to upper management, you can take annual leave to go out and have fun, and still maintain your own life after work.
Fast-paced company:
First of all, I think this is both a disadvantage and an advantage. Because the company is international, its direction and strategies change fairly quickly. Some colleagues actually have difficulty keeping up with changes in the company’s strategies. Every change requires adaptation, coordination, and a certain learning period.
In addition, because some colleagues cannot keep up with the changes, there is a certain level of employee turnover. Some employees are unhappy because of this and visibly slack off XD, so the office atmosphere was not very good for a while. We senior employees did complain a little when we saw that they still had not been dismissed. However, HR later began bringing in new staff, and currently the team’s operations are acceptable.
Performance-driven:
Management follows up very closely on KPIs. If you do not complete them, working overtime is normal. You need to have a certain ability to withstand pressure and be able to handle pressure from your supervisor and complete assigned tasks. However, the salary offered is also high, so I think this is quite reasonable.
