You won’t go hungry, and the pay is pretty decent. That’s about it.
The managers lack competence, the work is disorganized, and the office politics are complicated. There is an older faction and at least two younger factions. The high turnover rate really isn’t without reason. The company doesn’t distinguish whether you applied for an accounting position or an administrative assistant position—whenever there’s a gap somewhere, you’re expected to fill it. Some long-timers or people with connections can keep complaining about, dumping, and picking and choosing tasks (even though their workload is already light and easy enough). Those who are capable have to learn a bit of everything, and more and more work keeps being added to them. Job responsibilities are a complete mess. The managers lack competence; when problems arise, they panic along with everyone else, and asking them questions doesn’t necessarily lead to solutions. Other employees seem more like managers than the actual managers, who take absolutely no responsibility.
The official working hours are 08:30–18:00, with a one-hour lunch break and another half-hour of discretionary break time. In reality, it’s impossible to take a break. There are so many eyes watching you in the office that even using your phone feels very stressful—who would dare to? = = Sometimes there’s so much work that you simply can’t take a break, so the actual workday is basically 8.5 hours every day...... Anyone considering applying should think twice!!! By the end, even if the company gives you a red envelope or a bonus every four months, you’ll still feel............ I’d rather quit = =
