The salary and benefits are very good
1. Ms. Wang from HR scheduled our interview for 11:00 and reminded us to bring our own résumés. However, when we arrived, we found out it was a group interview. At 11:05, no one had shown up yet. We asked the receptionist, who then led us to a classroom to fill out a questionnaire. The questionnaire included questions about how well we understood sales. After completing it, we had to take it to the receptionist ourselves, and only then did the receptionist contact Ms. Wang from HR to come downstairs.
After Ms. Wang came downstairs, she told us that she had expected us to spend half an hour filling it out, so she had planned to show up at 11:30. The three of us being interviewed were dumbfounded. You were the HR person who scheduled the interview—if you don't show up, how are we supposed to know what to do???
2. After the supervisor arrived and heard that I had another interview at 2:00 p.m.,
he directly asked me: “Didn't HR tell you that the interview would take two hours?”
I answered directly: “No.”
The supervisor's face very clearly showed that he was “upset.” From then on, throughout the entire interview, he never looked at me. When it was my turn to introduce myself, he kept interrupting me. Then, after an hour, he used my afternoon interview as an excuse to let me leave.
I asked: “Can I leave now? May I ask whether there will be any further interviews?”
Supervisor: “No.”
He then opened the classroom door and let me out, leaving the other two people sitting there.
It's one thing for the interviewer to be late, but they were also so disrespectful to job applicants. I would rather not have come at all. I suspect that the positive reviews online were probably posted by the employees themselves to make the company look good, right?!
If they thought I wasn't suitable, they could have told me from the beginning instead of wasting both our time. They only told me after the interview was over and then drove me out. This not only embarrassed me, but also made me feel that the company looked down on people. Moreover, I was the only person there with a family, which inevitably made me think that they do not hire people with families. During the interview, the supervisor also mentioned that one of their employees had a family and, because his performance was poor, they asked him whether he wanted to leave.
We also asked: If an employee's performance is poor, how does the company provide guidance and support? The supervisor actually replied: “We just ask them to leave.”
This made me even more certain that it was a good thing I didn't stay and continue wasting my time.
I believe I won't be the only case or the only person this has happened to!
