Pros

1. The salary is very generous. The compensation consists of a base salary plus bonuses, and if you meet the targets, it can reach over NT$75,000. However, performance is also required, so KPIs are monitored very closely.

2. This company really values "attitude" and "ability." Naturally, there will be an adjustment period when you first join.

For overseas sales, in addition to foreign-language proficiency being a basic requirement, you must also have a certain understanding of the automotive industry. This is not something that people inside the company can completely teach you step by step; you need to know how to ask questions yourself, because much of it involves understanding the industry chain. If you feel that you cannot do it and adopt a careless attitude, you will be eliminated quickly.

However, if you demonstrate the right attitude, supervisors are still willing to give you opportunities. The main thing is that you really need to adjust yourself.

3. As long as you complete the assigned tasks, you will not be micromanaged. You can arrange your own time, so the schedule is flexible.

Overseas clients also understand the working hours of colleagues in Taiwan. Occasionally, you may need to reply to a few text messages after work, but this generally does not affect your routine much.

4. The colleagues and supervisors are easy to get along with. At first, you will be expected to keep up with the pace, but after work everyone chats or goes out for meals together, talking about cars and attending supercar events together.

In addition, although the company may not appear very large in Taiwan, it is also a well-known company in the United States. You can interact with international influencers and expand your social circle.

Cons

1. The interview process is demanding. They did not specify how high a TOEIC score was required, but at the time they asked applicants to provide a score or certificate proving their foreign-language ability. Since I have only taken the TOEIC, I believe you probably need at least 750+ to have a chance. The English interview also heavily tests speaking and responsiveness (which is understandable, since the position requires being able to converse fluently with overseas clients).

In addition, you must have a basic understanding of the automotive industry. You cannot be unfamiliar even with car models or unable to name the brands of aftermarket parts. Even if you do not have an in-depth understanding, you still need to do your homework.

2. The pace is really fast, so you need to adapt to high-intensity work. The tasks assigned by the supervisor are fairly flexible, but the supervisor does not like subordinates to ask what to do next after every single step. They expect employees to plan all the tasks step by step before discussing them. Therefore, if you approach the job with a mindset of merely being a cog in the machine, you will have a very difficult time.

3. You definitely need to stay on top of your own work progress. If the supervisor has to take the initiative to ask about it, they are usually not pleased. You need to report your work results as early as possible, so the pressure at work is fairly high.

4. The work changes frequently and is quite challenging. The company is constantly moving forward at a rapid pace, so you cannot simply handle the same routine tasks every day. You need to be mentally resilient and able to deal with disappointments and negative emotions at work. People in the office generally do not bring their emotions into their work.
