Pros

There was previously a review saying that Taipei had a manager who dressed very revealingly.

I have to say, that manager is already the only breath of fresh air in the entire company.

Anyone who has worked with her knows that she takes good care of people and is a very good manager.

She is not only responsible, but also works overtime alone instead of making mistakes and pushing everything onto her subordinates.

She also does not have a poor EQ or constantly change orders; she always handles things in an organized and logical way.

When messaging after work or during holidays, she first asks politely whether it is convenient. She has truly taken on the burden of this entire company.

She is a veteran manager, and being able to work with her is truly the luckiest thing.

The bonds forged through the struggle apply only among this manager and the colleagues.

Cons

This one and only breath of fresh air among the managers has resigned. Everyone can safely start looking for their next company.

This is a company where the salary is completely disproportionate to the working hours.

There is absolutely nothing worthwhile about the compensation, benefits, company atmosphere, or work environment.

Any company would be better than this one. The turnover rate is extremely high:

in a company of only 30–40 people, I have seen more than 20 colleagues resign in a single year, possibly even more.

First: It violates the Labor Standards Act. There is nothing but endless overtime, and overtime hours beyond the limit are forcibly converted into compensatory leave.

No salary statements are provided, and overtime and clock-in records must be back-entered at the end of the month; even back-entering clock-in records can result in overtime hours being deducted.

Second: There are no benefits whatsoever. There is no such thing as holiday bonuses, project bonuses, or anything else.

The year-end bonus is also delayed by a month and a half due to “funding issues.” Even the guaranteed one month is not provided.

They will only brazenly tell you that there are no rules about when it must be paid—if you can endure it, then endure it.

The company does not recognize employees’ efforts either. They say year-end bonuses are not assessed based on seniority, but they cannot provide employees with any concrete criteria for reference.

Even after dragging it out for two weeks, HR still did not provide the year-end bonus evaluation form. (They were the ones who promised to provide it.)

Third: Employees are required to front expenses, and there is no petty cash. Everyone has to advance at least tens of thousands of dollars.

A “large company” that starts by borrowing money from its employees. There are no shares, and upper management berates people as if they were dogs.

Fourth: They never learn how to manage cash flow. Salaries are delayed, payments to vendors are delayed, and then no one is satisfied on either side.

Fifth: The managers are merely figureheads. They do not even know whether they have looked at what is submitted; all they do is lecture and shift blame, without the slightest sense of responsibility.

You also have to act as the managers’ intestinal worm and their punching bag for stress. I really cannot understand how an entire company can have managers of this type.

They paint an attractive picture at the beginning, then constantly change orders, leaving the people below to clean up the mess and endure the managers’ poor EQ and incompetence (they even curse using profanity).

Sixth: If a manager is as good as nonexistent, of course you will be left to face clients and government offices alone.

You get no credit for your achievements. They show everything you submit to senior management, but when it comes to execution, they only criticize you after the fact and obstruct your work.

Then they add some sarcastic remarks. Clients pile complaints on you and demand that you be replaced, while the manager does not feel they bear the slightest responsibility.

Seventh: Most colleagues who work here need to see a doctor.

They either need to see an ENT specialist because of constant overtime, or a psychiatrist because the work pressure is too great. I sincerely recommend that you do not come here.

Working at this company means one temporary assignment after another, endless proposals, and work that can never be finished.

The constant resignations and increasing workload will make you question your life, but your salary will still not be adjusted.

All you can do is stay up late constantly, ruin your health, work overtime until midnight, and then get up early the next day to go on a business trip.

Life is no longer a life. Senior management does not think that contacting employees during holidays or after work is disturbing them at all.

If you reply during work hours, they will even ask, “Why didn’t you reply?” They have absolutely no respect for workers’ rights.

This company does not treat its employees like human beings at all and does not value talent. With such a high turnover rate, it is only to be expected.

All glitter on the outside, rotten to the core.
