Time off can be taken before and after exhibitions, and compensatory leave is available.
As for supporting pet exhibitions, compensatory leave is something that should be provided in the first place, so I don't know what other advantages there are. :) I've never seen a company this disorganized.
Besides all the interview hurdles that everyone talks about online, the most ridiculous thing is that after starting work, the new employee's clock-in system hadn't even been set up properly. You have to answer the phone yourself, and there's also a stationery receipt form (the stationery must be returned after leaving the company). But in reality, the stationery hadn't even been prepared for the new employee, yet they asked whether I wanted to sign for it first??
I was not properly trained at all on the job responsibilities. I asked A how to do something, and after I finished it, I gave it to B. Then B told A that it was incomprehensible when done that way, and A came back to tell me, “Why did you do it like this?” (It turned out that A simply didn't understand the situation either; for many details, it seemed that A was still figuring things out too.)
During working hours, colleagues chatted everywhere, then only applied for overtime to get things done before the end of the workday. I don't know whether they were trying to earn overtime pay. (But there was no need to dump work on others and force them to work overtime either.)
Finally, HR never seems to understand what is going on. You have to handle the resignation paperwork yourself, and even when your salary is paid after leaving, no payslip is provided. When I asked about it, my message was read but never answered.
I really don't understand how this company has managed to last until now, with everyone being such pushover employees.
