After you submit your résumé, HR will call you first and tell you a whole lot of things that make you think the company has clear policies and is reassuring. In reality...
The interview invitation said to prepare a PPT on any topic. The HR representative said that other applicants had presented on things like motorcycles and red wine.
I presented content related to my organic chemistry project, but the boss (I assume he was the boss?) kept asking me on the spot: “Do you know what our company does? Is what you’re presenting related to our company?”
Then he saw that my education was listed as university and asked why I didn’t have relevant work experience (even though their listing on 104 said no experience was required).
All I can say is: think twice before going to the interview.
