The product is worth recommending
The founder only knows how to make products and knows nothing about marketing. At the same time, he speaks in a very unpleasant manner. The chief operating officer is also his wife; although she clearly knows nothing, she only talks as if she does. She frequently uses emotional manipulation, lacks professional knowledge, yet believes she understands everything. They said they would not interfere with other departments’ matters, but in fact they control everything.
The wife, as COO, is actually the decision-maker, while the founder himself does not dare to intervene.
All policies change according to their mood. A brand should have principles, but they usually change the rules immediately because of one customer complaint, showing no principles at all.
An event proposal was submitted early and had already been approved, but everything changed the day before the event, with many additional requirements added. Tasks were assigned only shortly before the end of the workday.
The COO likes to criticize others and does not believe she is ever at fault. She used to sell hot pot, but the business later closed down. She often boasts about how successful her hot pot restaurant was, and she also once worked at a law firm. She now interferes in her husband’s skincare business; in reality, her other ventures had failed.
The COO is very eager to become famous and puts her own photos all over the brand’s social media. She also appeared on a podcast, where the content was actually mostly self-promotion. At every meeting, she praises herself. Someone nearly 50 years old keeps asking others to call her “older sister.” I advise anyone considering interviewing there to think twice.
