酷遊天股份有限公司
Pros

1. Two remote-work days per week

2. Lunch subsidy (although the fixed options aren't very tasty)

3. Using a Mac computer (does that count as a benefit?)

4. Shuttle bus between Songshan and the company

5. Occasional cheap trips—terrible timing, but cheap

Cons

1. Every single review you see is~~~~~~completely true (still employed as of February 2024)

2. The company is extremely idealistic. Senior executives each act independently, cross-departmental communication is severely impaired, and although they make it look as if they listen to everyone's suggestions, they actually don't.

3. It looks young, but its thinking is actually extremely, extremely traditional—a traditional Taiwanese company packaged to resemble a foreign multinational.

4. Company members fall into two categories. The first consists of people who have stayed for a long time and have little or no work experience at other companies, yet somehow possess inexplicable confidence and are arrogant frogs in a well. Some of them are even young people aged 25–35. The second consists of relatively older senior managers from other companies who, dazzled by the company's glamorous appearance, settled for working here. They have ability and experience but cannot put them to use because they are blocked by the former group.

5. The aforementioned young long-timers have a habit of bullying newcomers. They make things difficult over every little work-related matter and use an attitude of “I'll see how capable you really are” to gang up on their own colleagues.

6. “Embracing change” is the company's euphemism for constantly changing its mind. It reorganizes whenever there is nothing else to do, and your inbox is constantly receiving organizational restructuring emails.

7. A large part of the business doesn't even know what it's doing. In terms of product diversity, it falls short of competitors; in terms of supplier management, it can only act as a messenger. Instead of developing products, it spends all day encroaching on other departments' responsibilities. Managers let their subordinates do whatever they want, incapable people occupy highly ranked positions, and for some reason, the smaller someone's contribution to revenue, the louder they speak.

8. It's a truly unfortunate company. It probably doesn't even know what its founding goals and original mission were. It originally had the resources to develop properly, but the company only measures every department's goals by performance while providing no budget. It also has many incompetent, loud-mouthed deadweight employees. It really deserves to lose badly to its competitors.

Finally, you might ask whether I recommend coming here.

If you want to save money, feel a sense of accomplishment, and build your résumé,

honestly, there are better places to go. Don't come here to be busy for nothing.

But if you care “only” about work-life balance, you could come here—at most for a year.

Oh, right: the year-end bonus is much, much lower than those at ordinary traditional-industry companies.
