科林儀器股份有限公司
Pros

The interview location in Zhonghe was fairly easy to find, and the interview space was clean. The HR representative was not particularly attractive.

Cons

On the first day of the interview, three people were present in person and one supervisor joined by video. They questioned me one by one, like police conducting an investigation. At the end, after the interview, they said, “Welcome to the team.” Two days later, they contacted me proactively and deliberately avoided making any commitments in writing, steering everything toward phone conversations. They told me I had been hired and that they would send me a formal offer letter by the end of the month. This made me wait in vain for two weeks. Yet by the end of the month, I still had not heard anything and had to ask them about it myself. After I asked, they irresponsibly told me that the job description had changed substantially, that they had not yet determined how much salary they could offer, and that the work location would also be changed. It was no longer the location they had originally promised, and they did not even know where it would be afterward. How long was I supposed to wait? When would they expect me to give up? They even changed their wording and said, “We hope to hire you; we didn’t say that you were definitely hired.” Then who was the formal offer letter supposedly going to be sent to when they said they would issue one? They have no credibility.

This company lacks the professional ethics it should have. And it is obviously not just the HR representative who is uncultured; I believe the senior management must be much the same, otherwise they would not have such an HR representative as the point of contact. If you are considering interviewing there, you really do not need to think twice. They cannot even offer a salary of NT$35,000 and still try to bargain it down.

If they cannot afford to pay, they should not invite people to interviews or verbally say they have been hired, only to waste job seekers’ time afterward. Karma will come eventually, HR representative Grace.

Remember that they will deliberately steer communications toward phone calls so that no evidence is left behind.
