The interviewer was very blunt.
Video interview
1. Previously, I was only once told that my headset volume was low. During the interview, she made a sarcastic remark: “Do you have very few video interviews? You were told about it before, so how could you still not pay attention?” I really couldn’t tell whether she had gotten up on the wrong side of the bed or was arguing with someone during the video interview. At the time, I really wanted to just end the call and stop the interview.
2. When I was explaining my reason for leaving my previous job, she interrupted before I could finish and said, “You worked at an accounting firm for N years. Don’t you know what it’s like inside?” Damn, how would I know what you’re like? Did you introduce yourself? Everyone’s situation is different; I was just explaining my own circumstances. Was there any need to be so aggressive?
3. She proceeded to criticize my education and work experience. This was the first time in my life I had encountered such a classless interviewer. It was obvious that she thought very highly of herself and was extremely self-centered. The way she spoke made it seem as though she wanted to pick a fight. No wonder the company has so many negative reviews. Employees choose companies, and companies choose employees; you can also infer the quality of the company’s staff. What they are looking for is apparently a robotic type of person. I am really not suited to a supervisor like this, and I’m glad she was so blunt about showing her true colors.
4. She kept putting me down throughout the interview, yet asked me about other positions.
5. The interviewer was not punctual and had no manners at all, as though other people were supposed to wait for her. I strongly advise anyone interviewing there to investigate thoroughly beforehand. Otherwise, there is no need to waste your time on the interview—you’ll only end up furious.
6. All these signs suggest that the compensation probably won’t be very good.
