信孚產業股份有限公司
Pros

Clocking in and out for work is required (but judging from the previous poster, I assume this is also being enforced because there must have been disputes in the past?).

Cons

The position I applied for was “foreign trade business.” During the first month, the work was as described on 104: placing orders with factories and exporting goods overseas through triangular trade. Starting in the second month, I was reassigned arbitrarily. For the first two weeks, I thought the company might simply be busy and that I was helping out temporarily. However, starting in the third week, I was given different work. When I raised my concerns with my supervisor, “Hsin Fu Industry” fired me that same day. “Hsin Fu Industry” is a company that does not respect professional expertise or employees’ opinions, acts domineeringly, and likes to play tricks in employment contracts. Starting in the second month, my work consisted of warehouse management plus preparing local U.S. shipping documents: entering orders one by one for the “U.S. warehouse” to ship to “consumers in the United States,” and organizing local “U.S.” shipping invoices. (Everyone can judge for themselves: for someone like me based in Taiwan, does this count as export work? Simply put, this is work that should be done by and paid to U.S. workers, but was outsourced to employees in Taiwan to cut costs. The essence of this job was warehouse management and shipping.

The company is free to operate as it wishes. However, the job was different from what was presented on 104 during the application process (deception), and the company did not discuss the change with the employee (domineering). After the employee raised the issue, the company fired them outright. In addition, the salary and benefits discussed during the interview were not written into the employment contract. I recommend that employees have everything put in writing to protect their rights.
