Pros

The front desk staff were very nice and guided me step by step through the process of getting an identification sticker. When I was leaving, they helped open the door for me and even said “jiu dou ma die” (“就都媽爹”), which was very cute.

Cons

I interviewed for a business development position, and three interviewers showed up (two men and one woman).

The primary interviewer was a woman. As soon as she came in, she put on a face as if the job candidate owed her several million dollars. The questions she asked were completely incomprehensible, and then she said it was because the candidate hadn’t understood their company’s questions. She asked about my previous job and said that I had also worked at my previous job for quite a long time. I asked her which one she meant—the previous job I had held was not that long ago. It turned out she was talking about the job I am currently still working at?? Throughout the interview, I kept saying that I was still employed there. I really don’t know what part she didn’t understand. Or did she simply have no intention of listening seriously to what I was saying? She also asked what my work environment was like. I asked whether she meant the actual workplace. She replied contemptuously, “Your work environment.” But when I later talked about the workplace, she said that wasn’t what she had asked.

????

Could you please ask your questions properly? Why not consider that the reason a candidate can’t answer is because your question is poorly worded 🥹?

Halfway through the interview, I really wanted to slam the door and leave. Your time isn’t the only time that matters—you seriously wasted my day off!

Ray was the only one who was more polite and asked questions that the candidate could understand.

Finally, the other male interviewer was also disrespectful to the candidate. He asked again about things that had already been discussed earlier… and even said something like, “I want to give you another chance”? I really don’t need one 🥹 He asked me what the best-selling product at my current company was and told me to sell it to him. After I finished, he said I hadn’t first understood his needs. I replied that I would first consult with a customer when they entered the store, and he responded, “You didn’t say that at the beginning.”

Sigh…

A company that treats people with this little respect really isn’t worth wasting your time on ʕ •ᴥ•ʔ
