Pros

Having a major company on your résumé sounds better.

If the client at the placement is good, you can learn a lot of useful information or possibly get an internal referral.

The recruiter was very nice. The one I dealt with, Chríѕtínnα, explained the details of each position very thoroughly and continued to show concern after I joined. All I can say is: thank you for your hard work. If the CSR had not been so unreasonable, you would not have had to deal with so much trouble.

Cons

A good recruiter and a good CSR can send you to heaven. Unfortunately, I only encountered a good recruiter. The CSR only cared about whether the candidate had been matched, and was neither honest nor decisive. After the interview, I asked whether the project was long-term. If the answer is yes, say yes; if not, say no. What does “we’ll discuss it again” mean? = = If you are going to keep changing your wording, why not record the entire process from now on? Would that be better?

Then things became even more outrageous after I returned to the company and went on standby. Because my career plans did not align with the company’s current projects, they tried to make things difficult for me and demanded that I learn skills that had nothing to do with me. Then they asked me to submit a report. It was truly laughable—someone with no technical background lecturing others about how to do things and submit reports. Why not build your own foundation first? Instead of saying something helpful, they would tell me that I was still young and ask me to do good deeds for the company. I even heard a certain CSR say that these positions were generally not suitable for fresh graduates and that most were for experienced engineers. So may I ask: the standby buffer provided by the company is at most only one or two months. What positions are you supposed to help match someone to after they spend one or two months learning? Besides, everyone’s career path is not for you to decide. Even if I need to improve my skills, it is not your place to lecture me about it, and I do not need to submit a report to you, right?

Not having a project is not the engineer’s fault. If you want to terminate my employment, just be straightforward and do it. Can’t your company even afford this small cost? ^_^
