I worked here for some time, but due to new plans for my life, my whole family moved to Taipei. Although I have already left, I wanted to share some thoughts about my work experience.
Pros:
Company development:
I previously worked in the overseas development department. In the year before I left, the brand was expanding overseas at a fairly rapid pace. I heard from former colleagues that there are now branches in Russia and San Francisco as well. The number of stores continues to grow, and there should be more than 100 worldwide. The brand has development potential. Another brand, Chicha San Chen, also partnered with FamilyMart. I recall that they even launched popsicles, and its development also seems to be going quite well.
Salary:
Compared with the industry standard, I think the salary offered by the company is quite good. There is a performance evaluation every month, as well as an annual individual performance evaluation, and there is also a year-end bonus. The system is comprehensive.
Female-friendly:
The company is quite friendly toward women. I personally saw several occasions when a colleague’s child was sick and the colleague simply brought the child to work. The bosses did not show any displeasure at all and even asked about the child’s condition. The company is also very friendly toward pregnant employees.
Company benefits:
Every month, employees receive beverage vouchers that can be used to get free drinks. Having a drink when work is stressful is very relaxing.
There are prize drawings during the Mid-Autumn Festival and Christmas, and the bosses occasionally provide additional benefits.
I used to find the company’s cumbersome procedures quite frustrating. For example, any expense, regardless of the amount, required submitting receipts for reimbursement. Now that I work at a smaller company, I realize that my previous company actually handled this aspect quite well. Tracking every expense is quite important for managing the company’s finances.
