1. Can leave and arrive at work on time, and the company location is convenient
2. A relatively free and open working environment
3. Ten days of annual leave from the moment you join (deducted proportionally upon resignation)
4. Easy to take leave; usually, as long as you have a reason, your supervisor will not object
5. A snack cabinet every month (but the budget is only $2,000)
6. If you are not afraid of handling troublesome matters and want to coast toward retirement, you can come here, because even if you do not do any work, as long as you are good at flattering people and have some personality, you can survive :)
The senior management really are all the same.
1. Meetings are really long.... They last at least two hours each time. There is basically no point in the middle, and they may even schedule another meeting to continue the discussion. It is an incredible waste of time, and the entire meeting has no focus. Even an interview can last three hours; the director is always one of the people present at the beginning of the interview.
2. Senior managers love taking the work they recklessly agreed to do and dumping it on the people below them. They also keep pushing their own clients off onto others, every single time! The person handling execution and the innocent colleagues who get blamed have no idea what they promised the client. After making the promise, they come back and say, “Let’s work on this together!” But in reality, they do nothing and dump everything on you, telling you to finish it quickly. After it is over, they tell internal employees and external parties how much they helped and how hard they worked.
3. If you want to be a mid-level manager here, a few people are serious workers whom senior management favors and wants to train, but some people can become managers as long as they are good at flattering and currying favor 😀 As a manager of the business development team, one person does nothing every day, scrolls on their phone or reads during work and meetings, and does not understand any of the processes. They have not produced any results since joining, only order their colleagues around, and after being here for a while, still do not even know the basic existing processes. New colleagues are left to find answers on their own and then get scolded. The processes and SOPs that a manager should understand are even dumped on colleagues in other departments to handle. Absolutely shameless and invincible. After this was brought up, senior management could still defend them every time. Why? Because you can survive here by currying favor and sucking up; people who work seriously are the fools.
4. The boss is extremely sensitive whenever money is mentioned and is very calculating with employees. Money that members are supposed to receive has been delayed for several months, leaving colleagues to be hounded by members every day. As far as I know from my position, it is not as though the company has generated no revenue at all. I have no idea where the money has gone—perhaps it was invested in another company ^^
5. The boss said that every colleague would have an established bonus system, but several months have passed without any explanation. Colleagues have to keep chasing them to ask when the meeting will be held, and nobody knows whether they will actually receive any money afterward. Even colleagues whose bonuses have already been clearly discussed do not receive the money on time; they have to message their supervisor and plead with senior management before they get paid 😀
6. Neither the boss nor the managers like taking responsibility. When something happens, they just keep delaying and refuse to make decisions. They are incredibly slow!! Their thought processes are truly different from everyone else’s. They can go around and around on one point, only for the conclusion to be the same one the colleague gave at the beginning == In the meantime, nearly an hour or more of meeting time has been wasted. Client decisions with deadlines are often delayed and cannot be answered because of this, exhausting the person in charge and leaving them to be hounded by the client.
7. They really like creating information gaps; they tell each person something different about the same matter. They say A over there and B over here.
8. When it comes to colleagues who cause problems or create trouble for the company, senior management seems inexplicably reluctant to let them go. It can take a long time for them to realize that the person is causing trouble for others. Then the colleagues who take over the mess have to clean it up and take responsibility. They always say they were very dedicated, even though they clearly were not the ones doing the work.
9. The turnover rate is extremely high~~ The things people say in exit interviews are almost always the same: problems with senior management/the company, and so on. There are suggestions, but they are simply heard and forgotten; nothing ever changes! One departing employee is replaced by another, generation after generation ^^
10. The director insists on joining every client group, but it is completely useless. When something goes wrong, they only say that they are in so many groups that they did not see the message, then privately message employees and tell them to step forward. Then do not join in the first place??? They clearly have control issues but still try to pretend otherwise. They only hide behind employees: the employee gets scolded first, and then they claim to step forward to apologize and talk about how hard they worked ==
There have been too many incidents; I will add more if I think of any.
I sincerely advise everyone not to come here and waste your time. The only reason I stayed here was because of a group of friendly colleagues who fought alongside one another. In reality, this is simply a place where you can coast and build up seniority.... If you have the chance to get to know multiple brands and build good relationships with client contacts, improve the skills you need to improve, and then leave 😀
