The interviewing manager was the PM for the project, but I felt that they showed very little respect for professional expertise.

They claimed they would also take on the architecture responsibilities, but someone who had moved away from technology and into management was going to lead the technical work?

They wanted to build a good product but were unwilling to invest in a dedicated architect. It’s frightening to think about.

(It’s probably not necessary to spend extra time on an in-person interview; an online conversation should be sufficient.)
