The company itself is very good and established an early foothold in the United States. Unfortunately, the owner died young. After the acting general manager took over, they constantly exploited connections for personal gain and went on at length about office romances, with their thoughts entirely elsewhere rather than on the company.

-The company's Taipei headquarters is rife with office politics. General Manager Lu is a lesbian and is in a relationship with the (female) procurement manager. The procurement manager was originally a junior accounting and finance clerk but was promoted seamlessly to procurement manager, rising through connections. After taking the position, she repeatedly bothered senior procurement staff to teach her procurement knowledge, showing that the company has no systems or procedures whatsoever.

-The general manager has no chemistry background and is unable to make any constructive decisions. She even angered an important U.S. distributor. During her tenure, aside from exploiting connections for personal gain, she accomplished nothing substantive. Her poor decisions also left the company unable to sell off its inventory, resulting in substantial losses.

-The recruitment description did not match the actual work. During my employment (within one year), more than six people had already left the Taipei office, including personnel from marketing, sales support, sales, IT, and regulatory affairs. This was all related to the general manager's illogical and passive approach to work, in which she only paid lip service and contributed no ideas.
