Pros

The Candle Dragon dwells at the Cold Gate; its radiance still opens like dawn.

Why do the sun and moon, which shine upon it, not reach this place? Only the north wind roars furiously down from the heavens.

On Mount Yan, snowflakes are as large as mats, each flake blown down upon Xuanyuan Terrace.

In Youzhou, a longing wife in the twelfth month stops singing and ceases to smile, her brows drawn in sorrow.

Wei Xu moved the Heavenly Eye’s divine power and leaned against the gate, gazing at travelers;

thinking of you suffering in the bitter cold at the Great Wall—it is truly heartrending. Amitabha Buddha.

When you left, you raised your sword to save the frontier, leaving behind this tiger-patterned golden quiver.

Within it was a pair of white-feathered arrows; spiders have spun webs over them, and dust has gathered.

Wei Xu moved the arrows, but they remained useless; their owner has now died in battle and will not return.

The Heavenly Eye could not bear to look upon this object, so it was burned to ashes.

Even the Yellow River could be dammed with handfuls of earth, but the resentment brought by the north wind, rain, and snow is impossible to dispel.
