Very good at packaging and promoting through media
Zhuwai: a river in front and a hillside behind
The office is fairly large
1. There is almost no concept of organizational division of responsibilities within the company, because all development directions and judgments of right and wrong are carried out according to orders issued by the general manager alone. Therefore, if your supervisor does not know how to manage upward, you will basically end up doing all kinds of strange tasks. You may go from being a PM to having to handle business development and sales, and then also develop programs, etc. (Your supervisor will not care whether you know how to do it; you are simply expected to do it. If it is not done well, it is considered your personal problem.)
2. Also, because the supervisor you report to is so poor, there are always endless tasks. Even if you point out that something should be the responsibility of another department, you will only be told that the general manager wants us to do it, so it has to be done. Understand?
(This company’s supervisors love to invoke the general manager: whenever something is unreasonable, they say, “That’s what the general manager said….”)
3. As you can imagine, the working hours will be extremely long. In addition, there is no cross-departmental support, because everyone just pushes responsibilities onto one another.
4. The company’s organizational culture is very corrupt. Basically, everything is done according to the general manager’s imperial decree. Ask the administrative supervisor, and they say the secretary said so (the general manager is still behind the secretary); ask about procedures, and they say it was the secretary; ask about forms, and they say it was the secretary. Anything that deviates from this will be met with severe scolding or ostracism. If performance is poor, it will always be blamed on the people below for failing to implement the decree, and never on the direction being wrong.
5. Many people have recently resigned. Basically, if you can last more than a year here, you are considered fairly experienced, because people are often deceived into joining. In addition, turnover has been extremely high over the past one to two years, and it is very difficult to recruit people. (So do not believe promises that more staff will be hired to share your workload.)
