Pros

My role is in construction engineering:

“In theory,” the benefits and compensation the company should provide for this position are:

1. Tire subsidy

2. Fuel card subsidy

3. Car maintenance subsidy, amounting to 6,000 and 3,000 respectively for major and minor services

4. Parking subsidy

5. Permission to clock in remotely, with proof of attendance even without going to the office

6. An ideal work environment with a snack cabinet

7. Located in the Xizhi Far Eastern area, making shopping and dining very convenient after work

Cons

In reality, my experience in this position has been:

1. All subsidies listed in items 1 through 4 are deposited at least three weeks late every month; sometimes I even have to follow up myself

2. Parking fees are reimbursed only after being paid upfront, so the practical effect on disposable income is equivalent to paying out of pocket

3. In theory, the fuel card can be applied for after three months of employment and used starting in the fourth month. However, after nearly six months since I joined, I am still being told that it will be issued at the end of the month

4. The work is excessively complicated. Many duties outside the scope of construction engineering—including responsibilities that should be handled by design engineers and site managers—must all be handled by this position

This includes, but is not limited to, arranging coordination between different interfaces, inspecting infrastructure construction, and urging parallel subcontractors to enter the site

5. The salary appears to be slightly below the general market rate for construction engineering positions, and the stated salary effectively includes lunch expenses. However, the work content is clearly not commensurate with the compensation

I do not consider myself an outstanding construction engineer, but I also do not think this job is suitable for newcomers with less than five years of experience in the field
