The company splits the bonus into three installments (presumably because they are afraid employees will leave after receiving their year-end bonus).
As long as you submit your resignation before the bonus is paid, you do not need to receive the most recent bonus (they will find a way to set your last working day before the bonus payment date).
The company has grown into an SME with 4–5 companies and diversified subsidiaries across both sides of the Taiwan Strait and in Hong Kong, yet it still has this kind of mindset and practice.
