Pros

There are too many drawbacks, so you can just pretend to be busy and collect a paycheck.

Cons

The following is my dream; if any of it happens to be true, it is purely coincidental :)

1. No one in management knows the company’s processes, SOPs, or organizational structure, and they even ask subordinates what they should do.

2. To resign, you have to get a resignation form from your supervisor rather than the HR manager. Some supervisors even sit on your resignation form and extend the time it takes for you to leave.

3. The following are all issues with the supervisor surnamed Yu in the IT department.

3.1 Mooncakes and sun cakes

He draws pies in the sky all day, with no actual output.

3.2 The divisive notebook

He sows division and spreads negative emotions throughout the department, complaining about how the Accounting Department and HR Department are, and so on.

How to tell whether you have been written down in his little notebook:

1. You are not invited to meetings. 2. He has absolutely no interaction with you unless necessary. 3. Whenever there is food, he will not give you any and will even sneakily watch your reaction. 4. He privately summons you and gives you a long talk.

3.3 Former company CTO…?

He keeps telling you how well he did at his previous job, how high his salary was, and how many connections he has. (If he’s so impressive, why not go back to his former company?)

3.4 An official… oh… hahahahaha, an official

This company is not suitable for someone to throw their weight around as an official, but his attitude is exactly that of someone who came to be an official. He likes information asymmetry (the more he knows, the better; the less you know, the better), likes imposing extensive controls, and suppressing other departments (?). As long as your opinion differs from his, he feels uncomfortable. If you ask him why you were not informed, he has only two answers: 1. You do not need to know. 2. It has nothing to do with you; you do not need to think about it. But after looking into it, you find that the matter is not confidential at all—it is information that IT personnel should understand.

3.5 The equipment purchasing incident

They were buying a server, and he did not even want the hard drive supplied by the vendor. He kept insisting that USB alone would be enough, and then his subordinate was supposed to install the “system” onto the USB. The key point is that he agreed to it. I sincerely hope this joke gets told to other IT “professionals.”

3.6 Hardware engineer

The most fundamental thing a hardware engineer should understand is IP. He cannot even distinguish the company’s IP address or tell which IP is what, nor is he willing to figure it out.

3.7 Layoffs

They use the Dingxin system, yet laid off a former Dingxin employee and falsely claimed that the reasons for the layoff circulating outside were all untrue. The employee requested annual leave on Wednesday (one system reminder email), sent another reminder email at noon on Thursday (the second one), and sent another email before leaving work that afternoon (this email mentioned the Labor Standards Act). The supervisor then immediately laid off the employee. (You did not see the Labor Standards Act in the first two emails, but you saw it in this one? Amazing eyes, lol.) Afterward: “I know the Labor Standards Act better than he does. I have a Labor Standards Act certification.” (?????????????)

3.8 Internal audit and internal controls

They use the Dingxin system but do not follow its ERP internal controls, randomly modifying subprograms and data.

Only people who resign will tell the truth, because there is nothing left for them to hold back.
