Pros

1. HR asked about my understanding of the two channels they operate, what products I had purchased (in great detail), where I had bought them, and so on. It felt more like a consumer survey.

2. There were two interviewers in total: one HR representative and one manager.

Cons

1. Although I arrived on time, I still had to wait about 20–30 minutes. The situation was also rather chaotic. It was not a group interview, but all the interviewees ended up crowded together, while HR was overwhelmed.

2. The office was extremely cramped, like a high school cram school during exam preparation. It felt as though there was no room left, with many people squeezed together. They said they were expanding and hiring many people, but they should probably find a new office first.

3. The manager was unfriendly during the interview. One could perhaps assume that the interviewer's attitude was part of the test for candidates, or that they were in a hurry to get to the next appointment. The manager asked whether I had any questions, but when I actually asked questions, they refused to answer directly and kept going in circles. They said they wanted someone with experience, yet without listening to me explain the details of my experience, they immediately belittled the relevant experience. I really couldn't understand it and personally found it extremely strange.

4. The biggest issue: The manager said there would be a second-round interview in a few weeks, but did not disclose the salary range.

Here's what happened: HR accidentally let slip that the salary for this position was not as high as my current salary, and that there was a fairly large difference (my current salary is NT$40,000). The listing on 104 stated that the salary was negotiable; logically, the salary should be higher than NT$40,000 for it to be listed as negotiable.

When it was the manager's turn to speak, I asked about the salary range again, but the manager would not even tell the candidate the range, saying that it would only be known after the second interview. (Then what is the point of having a second interview? It's simply a waste of time... I really felt that taking leave to attend the interview was a huge loss.)
