I’ve been working as a designer in the northern district for over four years, and overall it’s been pretty good! After completing the basic training, you’re guaranteed a base salary of NT$45,000 plus individual and team performance bonuses. A monthly salary of NT$60,000–70,000 or more is quite common. Although your salary isn’t docked if you don’t meet the target, normally it’s possible to exceed it. I currently plan to renew my contract. Other than occasionally needing to spend extra time and patience communicating with special-case customers, the work isn’t particularly busy! The main customers are people with male-pattern baldness or hair loss caused by cancer, illness, or postpartum changes. After their transformations, customers are usually very grateful and feel that we’ve genuinely helped solve their hair-loss problems, which is a small but meaningful sense of accomplishment. Having fewer competitors is also one of the reasons I considered this job, and it gives me the chance to learn another skill. The work is stable, and having a corresponding customer base makes it relatively easy to manage the daily appointment schedule. The hours are fairly easy to arrange because the number of customer appointments doesn’t suddenly surge. One advantage is that you don’t have to find customers on your own. That’s quite different from working at a salon before! I’d really recommend it to designers who want to save money. Come give it a try.
You need to practice your consultation skills and clearly understand customers’ needs.
