I received a withholding tax statement showing that the salary reported was higher than the salary I actually received. This is a form of tax evasion.
Violating Article 41 of the Tax Collection Act and Articles 215 and 216 of the Criminal Code may result in imprisonment for up to five years, detention, or a fine of up to NT$5 million, either alone or in addition to such penalties.
